As I discussed in lecture and many of you already knew, the University of Chicago sent out a now famous letter to incoming students about their commitment against safe spaces. I find such a commitment to be delusional precisely because all college campuses, let alone the University of Chicago, have long been safe spaces for particular people, in particular bodies, with particular backgrounds.
