Lesbian Fan Base

This is a fantastic article that includes many of our course themes -- television, fandom, popularity, new media. It reminds me, too, of things I’ve read (but can’t seem to find at the moment) about particular companies recognizing minority consumers in a direct way; one older example is Subaru advertising Outbacks to queer families. I’ll add some of those to another post. I remember, too, reading recently about the dissatisfaction some (many?) lesbian fans feel because the WNBA has yet to acknowledge their support.
